Development schemes worth Rs3,502mn approved by the PDWP
LAHORE: Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five development schemes worth Rs3,502.334 million.
The approval was given in the 23rd meeting of PDWP of the current fiscal year 2019-20, presided over by the Chairman P&D Board Habibur Rehman Gilani.
The meeting saw the approval of projects such as replacement of outlived sewers in Multan Phase-II (Revised) costing Rs2,264.160 million, and pilot urban rehabilitation and infrastructure improvement project package-IV from Chowk Purani Kotwali to Sonehri Masjid via Dabbi Bazaar costing Rs443.467 million. A study for rehabilitation of water supply line No 1 (Provision of drinking water from Head Fareed to Panjkot Cholistan District Rahim Yar Khan) which is 90kms long costing Rs9.250 million was also approved. Rehabilitation/widening and improvement of Shahpur Bhera Malakwal road which is 76.50kms long, District Sargodha (Phase-1, Group – 3 km 27.00 to 50.30 length 23.30km) with an estimated cost of Rs770.457 million and physical evaluation of 5 Nos devolved schemes (PC-2) at the cost of Rs15 million were also approved.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, all members of planning and development board, provincial secretaries, Assistant Chief Coordination Syed Naveed Iqbal and other representatives of the relevant departments.
