Humayun Saeed takes a dig at Hamza Ali Abbasi over the Padman ban tweet!
After Fawad Khan if there is any actor who can get the girls screaming his name at the top of their voice, it has to be Hamza Ali Abbasi whose Maula Jatt and Parwaaz Hai Junoon we can't wait to see. Hamza enjoys a very controversial yet huge fan following in Pakistan. His stints in projects including Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, Pyaray Afzal and of course the super hit film Jawani Phir Nahi Aani have added to Hamza's stardom, getting him more fans than ever.
Hamza has a very straight forward and very loud approach when it comes to supporting issues he believes in. He stayed away from the promotions of his film Jawani Phir Nahi Aanibecause he had problems with a few scenes and voiced his opinion over them openly; even if it was his friend's production.
And from there began this trend of Hamza voicing his opinion on everything which he felt he ought to talk about . Now mind you, Hamza being vocal on Charlie Hebdo as well as on the plight of the Kashmiris was praised, but often there comes a comment or two from him that doesn't ring well with a number of people, from or out of the industry.
And this time, we came across Hamza tweeting about how upset he was with the censor board's decision to ban the Bollywood flick Padman in Pakistan.
So our Censor Board allowed Padmavat which portrays Sultan Allaudin Khilji as a nymphomaniac barbarian & banned #Padman which gives much needed awareness abt menstrual hygiene! I am known as a wannabe Mullah & even i find it pathetic... Grow up Censor Board!
With the movie focusing on women's issue of the menstrual cycle and raising awareness about hygiene, Hamza was quite miffed as can be read above in his tweet. But it was Humayun's response to him which had us laughing out loud.
