Call the Band succeeds in awakening your passion for cricket with Peshawar Zalmi's official anthem
With the PSL3 about to begin the cricket fever is at a all time high. Cricketers, celebrities and ambassadors along with the team owners are all either present or arriving in Dubai today. With us being cricket, entertainment and music fans the whole idea of PSL excites us. Also while we're loving celeb association with the teams, we have a special lookout for the official team anthems. And this one just released has got us by surprise.
Hum Zalmi, Peshawar Zalmi's official anthem, created by the band Call, is simply outstanding. This is what we call the perfect track to get you motivated along with the players to win the game yet again.
Composed by Xulfi for his band Call , the track titled Hum Zalmi begins with a bang as the brilliant usage of electric guitars makes you sit up and pay full attention to the track which within 2 seconds of being played succeeds in awakening your passion for cricket.
Joined by Leo Twins , what actually works in favor of the track is the blending of different instruments which have been incorporated so well that never even for a second you feel that something did not feel right. The purpose of this official anthem is to create that zeal in each and every Peshawar Zalmi supporter and that we feel the band has done very well.
We've become used to seeing Junaid Khan on TV in various plays it is good to see him back in his rock star avatar as his voice has the ability to switch from a love song to a rock anthem with ease as heard in Hum Zalmi. It is apparent that every single word which Junaid sang comes from his heart.
Besides the audio even the video directed by Murtaza Niaz deserves a special mention as he has the brand ambassadors Hamza Ali Abbasi and Mahira Khan along with the team making appearances. But besides that it is the whole environment created by him for the video which makes you want to watch it till the end as he has timed each individual's shot very well. The video doesn't focus entirely on Mahira or even Hamza but instead on the band who are singing the track and looking good while doing so as well.
Another thing which we liked about Hum Zalmi was the inclusion of Pushto in the middle which caught us off guard as we thought that this a complete rock track with fast beats and guitar but with the tempo slowing down to include few lines of Pushto that was when we fell completely in love with everything about it.
So with a job well done by Xulfi, Junaid Khan and the rest of the members of Call as well as Leo Twins Hum Zalmi is our track for the day. A track well suited for the champions
