'Woh Mera Dil Tha' In Review: Tangled In A Complicated Love Triangle

Sami Khan is on a roll these days as he has been appearing in several plays on-screen. What sets him apart in the acting industry is the variation in roles being played by him, making him one of the most sought-after actors in today’s times. Following the same ritual, he’s recently being spotted in a play called “Woh Mera Dil Tha” where he has played the role of a mutual friend who is trying to help out his friends with their families. Apart from Sami Khan, Madiha Imam and Furqan Qureshi are also featured in the leading roles.
Written by Faiza Iftikhar, the play revolves around a complicated love triangle with an emotional twist to it.
As revealed in the latest episodes, Naina (played by Madiha Imam) belongs to a very rich family who is always surrounded by guards and has fallen in love with her cousin Arham (played by Furqan Qureshi) but the duo can never be together because of the existing conflicts between their parents.
So, how do these two love birds meet? This is where Sami Khan comes in, playing the role of Zaid. While Zaid is not as rich as Arham, the duo still gets along very well and it is Zaid’s duty to bring Naina to meet Arham. Zaid is a happy-go-lucky guy who hates Naina but bears her for his friend’s sake.
The highlight of the first episode were the arguments between Zaid and Naina. While Arham is the sober one who does not have the courage to tell his parents about Naina, we are sure that Naina’s life is going to be taking quite a lot of twists and turns as the drama progresses.
With Naina’s father determined to get her married as soon as possible, we just cannot wait to see what the next episode reveals and what shall be the fate of her love story.

Directed by Mohsin Ali, the play has kicked off with a great start, and makes us want to follow the drama for two major reasons. Firstly, because it is written by Faiza Iftikhar whose Dillagi is still our favorite and the second reason being Madiha Imam who is a bundle of talent and lights up the screen with her natural flair for acting.
If you enjoy watching emotional love stories with exciting twists and turns, then do give Woh Mera Dil Tha a watch every Saturday night at 9 pm only on ARY Digital
